How to do a Shopify Vs Odoo Order Reconciliation
The main purpose of this reconciliation is to identify whether the orders in Shopify are available in Odoo and vice versa
1. log in to your Shopify account and download the Shopify order report
01.Go to Analytics> Reports> Summary> Filter the Month> Total Sales
02. Once you have clicked on the Total sales you will have the option to Export
03. Click on Export and select the Full report option and again click Export in this pop-up window
04. This is how your exported sheet will look like, now you can select all and generate a pivot table
05. To create the Pivot table in Excel, Click on the pivot table, click OK on the pop-up window (default settings can be used in this window)
06. Select the orders for Rows & Total sales for Values in order to get the order reference and total sales value in the pivot.
07. Now you can create a summary as shown below with the pivot table and find the total variance by bringing the odoo amounts for each line (shown in the table at left is the reconciliation for Odoo vs Shopify)
To bring the odoo report, you have to,
2. Download Odoo order details
01. Go to Odoo Dashboard > click on Shopify Module
02. Click on Sales> Orders
3. Now create a filter for Shopify instances of OPC NZ if you're in an NZ file.
4. Also you can save the filter under favorites for your future reference
5. Next you can filter the period by the Filter option as shown in the image below
6. Now you can select all the orders at once by ticking the box next to the Order number and click on Action and Export
7. Then select the "order report template" and click on Export (Please note template is already saved for you)
8. This is how the exported report will look like and you can summarize the sheet and get the total
9. Next, you can bring the details for a new column in the previous summary sheet we created for the Shopify orders by doing a lookup and creating a variance column to find the variances.
You can create a formula in column D as =(Column B-Column D) to find the variance, also if there is any variances you may have to do the reconciliation other way around too. Odoo vs shopify as shown in the table on left
10. Finally you can bring the reconciliation part including variance to your reconciliation summary report
