How to Create / Update Analytic Distribution Models ( Distributors /Manufacturers/Vape Stores/Companies /Online / Head Office )
In Odoo, you can use Analytic Accounts to keep track of specific costs and revenues. Analytic accounts are used to track costs and revenues by project, department, etc. You can create a chart of analytic accounts in your system for recording particular analytical entries as per your business requirements.
1. Click on Accounting Module.
2. Go to Configuration > Analytic Distribution Models.
3. Click on New.
4. You will be asked to fill in all the details.
5. To see all the information, click on View.
6. Add the relevant information.
- Partner
- Partner Category
- Accounts Prefix
- Product
- Product Category
- Accounts Prefix
- Analytic - analytic account will be selected based on partner category for example if the Partner Category is online then the analytic account is going to be online.
7. Once all the information has been added click on Save. At this sample, we are using Contact tagging as a condition for the analytic account under the partner category.
In order to create and update a contact tag, you may follow the steps here.
Once you create a transaction, you will see that the analytic accounts are getting updated automatically based on the information and conditions met on what you have set up.
