Bank Deposit Reconciliation
Odoo is an open-source ERP software that provides a bank reconciliation module. The module allows you to reconcile your bank statements with your financial records by summarizing your banking and business activity. You can find the corresponding invoices and compare them with your bank account activities for a specific period. You can also create and manage reconciliation models by selecting Reconciliation models under the Configuration tab.
Every opening and closing of register is equivalent to one session. Journal Entries are getting created in order to recognize the orders done for every session. To go to the Journal Entries related to every session, In order to do the Bank Deposit Reconciliation for POS,
1. Simply go to Point of Sale Module> Order > Sessions
2. Click the session you want to check the Journal with, then at the right corner, click "Journal Items".
3. You will then see all of the recorded Journal Entries for each Orders. A closed register (one complete session) will create a final journal entry collating all transactions related to bank, and all transactions related to cash, in order to close the Accounts Receivable and compile the payment to their respective payment method. In the case of Bank paid transactions, it will create a Journal Entry with Debit Outstanding Receipts; Credit Accounts Receivable (POS).
4. With this, this particular line item related to bank payments will then be available to the bank reconciliation window to be reconciled.
