How to Pause the Depreciation

To pause the depreciation of an asset in Odoo, you can go to the asset’s form view and click on the ‘Pause Depreciation’ button. This will stop the depreciation of the asset until you resume it manually.

To Pause a running depreciation of a certain Asset,

1. Go to Accounting Module > Accounting > Assets then select the relevant asset. 

 





2.  Select the relevant asset > Click on "MODIFY DEPRECIATION" and select "PAUSE"
 
3.  Fill in the fields as follows:

Date: Date on which depreciation to be paused
Reason: Indicate the reason for pausing
