How to Create an Analytic Plan and Analytic Account

In Odoo, you can use Analytic Accounts to keep track of specific costs and revenues. Analytic accounts are used to track costs and revenues by project, department, etc. You can create a chart of analytic accounts in your system for recording particular analytical entries as per your business requirements.

How to create an Analytic Plan.

1. Click on the Accounting Module

2. Click on Configuration > Accounting Plans


3. Click on New


4. Add a name for the analytic plan


5. Fill in the relevant information

  • Parent - select the parent analytic plan
  • Default Applicability - Not applicable for your business
  • Color - you may set the color 

6. Click on Save

How to Create an Analytic Account. 

1. To create the analytic account, click on analytic account at the top right corner of the Analytic Plan. 


2. Click on New 


3. Add the analytic account name. 


4. Click on Save.
