The process for filing Leave Advance Taken is the same as the previous article, Create Leave Request. 


Once an Advance Leave taken has been filed by employee, before approving them and apply it into a pay run, you can check the Leave Liability report to check employee's earnings.

You can access the leave liability report via the reports home page under the 'Payroll Reports' section. This shows you the leave liabilities for each employee at a point in time.

In order to generate the report you are required to enter the following information:

  • As at date/ OR pay run filter - You can switch between these by clicking on the toggle switch button:
  • Leave type
  • Employing entity (if applicable)
  • Group by - Leave accrual location or Employee default location 
  • Group by location
  • Whether to include approved leave

The report then gives you both a summary and detailed information. The summary includes:

  • Leave type
  • Approved request hours total
  • Leave hours total
  • Leave value

Then a file will be automatically saved, for you to check up-to-date employee's earnings before approving leave request.
