Publishing & Unpublishing shifts

How to Publish & Unpublish shifts

I . Publish Shifts.

When you publish a shift the following things happen:

  1. An email is sent to the employee letting them know that they have been assigned a new shift.
  2. The shift becomes visible in the employee roster.
  3. The shift is made read-only in the shift dialog.


How to Publish Shifts individually.

1. Click on the shift you want to publish, check on publish on the popup and click save.




How to Publish shifts in bulk

1. Simply click on the Publish Shifts button on the Top left corner.



2. Once you click a confirmation message will appear. Click Publish

 

II. Unpublishing Shifts
When you unpublish a shift the following things happen:

  1. ​A notification is sent to employees letting them know that they are no longer required to work the previously scheduled shifts.
  2. The shift is no longer visible in the employee roster.
  3. The shift can be edited in the shift dialog.


How to Unpublish shifts individually

1. To unpublish an individual shift, if you do any changes in the shift (for example changing the shift time) and click save or if you click save without doing any changes will also unpublish the shift.
