How to create a fixed asset GL account
1. Go to
Accounting > Configuration > Chart of Accounts
.
2. Click on New to create a new general ledger account.
3. Add in the relevant details.

- Code
- Account Number
- Type
- Allow Reconciliation - this is related to the banking accounts, Outstanding Receipts , Outstanding Payments, Account Receivables or Account Payables.
- Account Currency
Another way to do reconciliations is from the Accounting tab > Reconciliation.
4. To finish setting up the GL Account, click on Set Up.
5. Fill in the rest of the details.
- Default taxes
- Tags
- Allowed Journals
- Deprecated.
That is how you create a Fixed asset GL account.
