Creating Product Categories

1. Go to Inventory Module > Configuration > Product Categories 

2. Click on New.

3. Fill in the below fields

• Category name - Type in the category name
• Parent category - Select the product category from the dropdown. Click on search more to view all the product categories
• Company- Company name to be filled
• Costing Method - Select the relevant costing method for the products (FIFO or AVCo) within the category
• Inventory Valuation - Select the inventory valuation as Automated
• Route
• Force Removal Stratergy - FIFO

4. Once done, click on Save.
