Creating a Credit Note


Eg- Customer requesting a credit note for damaged stock.

Creating a credit note

1.Navigate to Sales Module>Orders> Orders

2.Open a sales order that is invoiced.


3. Click on the invoice.



4. Click on Add Credit Note


5. Click on partial refund then click on Reverse payment. You can give a reverse reason.

You can select on Full refund or Full refund and new draft invoice depending on the requirement.


6. Click on edit and change the quantity if its a partial refund.


7. Click on confirm.


Refund Procedure

Below section also details how you can process a refund if the invoice was already paid and the customer asks for it.


1. Click on register payment.


2. Click on Create Payment. You will see that Memo is a reversal.

Note: This payment will be available as a transaction to reconcile when doing the bank reconciliation later.
